About Me
Curiosity is what led me to become a scientist, and the ocean was my first obsession.
I hold a degree in Physical Oceanography and a PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. I am a Climate Data Scientist working at the intersection of Earth observation, climate risk, and parametric insurance. My core work is ensuring the scientific robustness of climate risk products: selecting the right data sources, validating methods, and translating satellite science into models that hold up under scrutiny. I lead a technical team building parametric products for frost, drought, heatwaves, storm surges, and extreme waves across Latin America, using MODIS, VIIRS, AVHRR, and Sentinel imagery, machine learning, and reanalysis datasets like ERA5 and CMIP6.
I have published peer-reviewed research on ocean variability and climate change, and I teach data science and quantitative methods in executive programs at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
I am stubborn about learning. When I am not working, I am probably playing piano or swimming.
